Does anybody have any experience using Home Slicker or Home Slicker Plus Typar? I’m considering using it under white cedar shingles in a coastal location. Pros? Cons? Thanks!

I've heard Home Slicker is pretty pricey; why not just use a conventional rain-screen wall construction? Probably won't cost any more than Home Slicker (considering labor), and you're sure to get better ventilating effects (using 1/2 to 3/4" furring).
