I have a Honda generator. It was running ruff so I changed the spark plug. When I went to restart it. It pulled 2 times then i couldn’t pull it. I took the starter recoil off and plug out. I can turn the flywheel almost all the way around in either direction and it stops. Like its hitting something. Could it be a valve?

Take it apart and find out.
You might consider, especially in older units, the possibility that something in the ignition stuff under the flywheel has come loose.
smit,
Drain the oil and see if it is full of gas. I've Briggs engines leak past the needle and seat and fill up crankcase.

In case of the generators, they bare a heavy load and therefore, regular maintenance is very important. Because of the regular working of the generator and no ideal time, it becomes hard for it to work efficiently so, generator repair service NJ http://bloomfieldcooling.com/services/generators/ is very necessary. And hiring the professionals for the work is very important.
