Good afternoon all. I just purchased a house and it takes a few minutes for me to get hot water out of my fixtures. The hot water tank is far away. I thought i saw an article in a FHB magazine that showed a drawing conecting pipes together for a fix. But i can not find the article. Does anyone know what i am talking about? Or any ideas for a cure?

One way is with a recirculating loop and pump. The pump continuously circulates water from the water heater through all the hot pipes and back. You get almost instant hot water at the tap.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
Is there an easy way to get a return pipe back to the DHW tank? I saw an article in FHB that modified the piping under the sink to achieve a return loop. But know i can not find the artlicle. Am I going crazy and there is no easy fix?
