I have a HW recirculation pump at my house that I believe has a dedicated line. There is a pump next to my 2 HW heaters that is connected to copper lines coming out of the dry wall. I have my pump to run for 10 minutes every half hour (so 20 minutes off, 10 minutes on) between 5:30 AM and 10 PM. In the morning when I wake up and take a shower at 5:45 or so, its immediately hot as expected, but later in the day or night, its luke warm only and never gets hot even after about 30 minutes of run time and the hot water on maximum. I’m trying to figure out what I need to correct. Can anyone help?

How old are the existing?
How is water drawn from each heater? In series? Parallel? Separate service points?

Thank you for the reply. The water heaters are relatively new (~4 years old). The house is 17 years old and I don't know for sure, but I think the recirculation pump was present when the house was built (I'm the second owner and have been living in the house for 3 years). The water is drawn in parallel. I'm not sure what service points are. Are they faucets spigots, etc?
Can you isolate each heater to see if the source is just one of the heaters?
How many gallons is each heater?
Are you using a lot of hot water during the day? Multiple showers, laundry, heated pool...
