Hey, that worked! OK, lemme try another...
*An interior shot...
*A few from the kitchen...
*One more...
*Nice work!!Is that mantel a salvage or a very nice reproduction?Looks like it could have come out of a 100 year old house. very sharp!Mr T
*Mr T. Thanks for the kind words. The mantle is made from scratch. The only part that is old is the fan which I found in an anitque store in Edinburgh, Scotland. The poor guy there had no idea what I was talking about when I bought it and told him what I would use it for.Mike
*Glad to see that there's fine craftsmen out there. Is that the type of homes you build in your area? Very sharp. What type of siding are you installing? It always takes longer to build your own than the customer's house doesn't it.John
*Michael: Nice work. Is your driveway and sidewalk stamped with a brick pattern?
*John, Actually this is the FIRST home I've ever built. I've only done remodeling and additions prior to this. Its GP vinyl siding. I was leaning towards the Hardiplank but installation time and having to paint it detered me. Sure, vinyl is not top o' the line but it looks good from the street. Thanks for the kind words.Stan, Thanks to you as well. Nope, those are individual concrete pavers in an octagonal keystone shape. Made not too far from here by a company called Mattstone. There are nearly 6,000 in the driveway and sidewalk.Mike
*Nice house Michael- is something not plumb visually with the last rail section closest to the chimney or is it just me? I really like that clawfoot tub and the glass shower surround. The mantle looks great!Bob
*Bob, Thanks. No I think its the shadows or the camera resolution? Same reason it looks like every so often one of the rails is painted yellow brown??? I can't complain however as its not my camera, just borrowed it for the day. Yeah, I HAD to own that shower combo when I saw it on the net. Got it thru faucet.com and believe it or not they had it on my doorstep in 5 days! Great service, I'd buy from them again...Mike
*Thanks for the heads up on faucet.com
*HO W is the back side of the chimney flashed? that is the side that faces up the roof? Thanks
*Ed, Its got a cricket of galvanized flashing and shingles and then continues with brick the rest of the way up? Is that what you meant?Mike
*Nice job on the house and, nice B'mer in the drive!!
*RichC,Thanks. The 318ti is a soviee from when we lived in Germany. Brought back and 88 iC as well.Mike
