I am building a house that will require the use of cement fibre shingles and trim. I’ve been following the articles and data regarding the use of house wrap vs. layers of membranes, flashings and tar paper. While I understand the need to isolate the wrap or the tar paper from the siding using furring strips, should I follow the same steps/approach for cement fibre as with conventional clapboards or shingles?????
