How can I clean rough granite fireplace.

In escrow on a cabin that has a rough granite firelplace that looks pretty bad both inside and outside. Suggestions on cleaning?

    Presure wash.

    Trisodium phospatespray then pressure clean on the outside and trisodium phospate and a brush on the inside.
