How do I connect Hancor 10′ 4″ flex pipe
I am using Hancor 10′ 4# black flex pipe (no preforations) to extend my house downspouts underground (and under one brick walkway). I bought the wye I need, 90 degree elbows, and snap couplers. How do I connect the pipes? The guy at the store said folks use duct tape and tap screws. This will not give me liquid tight but do I need that for downspout drainage?
How do I connect them?
Thanks

Hancor makes fittings for the pipe. Take a look here http://www.hancor.com/product/fittings.html
Fittings should be available from the place that sold you the pipe. Using duct tape and/or screws will hold the pipe together at least temporarily, but you will need to be careful when you back-fill to keep it from coming apart.
Water-tightness is not necessary, as long as a leak at the joint isn't going to discharge water at the foundation or some other place that might be a problem. The Hancor fittings aren't really water-tight either. But they are better than duct tape.
Thanks for the link.I have the fittings - they snap onto the flex pipe - but they are not liquid tight fittings - they are loose. How are this fittings sealed once on the pipe? Thanks in advance for any pointers.
They don't really need to be sealed. They are really only to hold the sections of pipe together. You don't really need to worry about water leaking out of the pipe. With the proper amount of fall on the pipe, water will move through the pipe fairly quickly. Since you're moving water only when it rains, water will only be in the pipe periodically, and water will follow the path of least resistance, which is the pipe.
Check and see if this guy has a breeding permit!
