Hi,
I need to replace my pool light so I trying to get to the low voltage cable in the transformer but I can’t find where to open this thing up. I tried the obvious, the top where the lip is but that thing won’t budge, almost looks as if it was tack welded in the corner. Any help appreciated.

Looks to me like the top is rusted on. Just beat it, beat it...
Since the conduit openings are in the lower portion of the transformer housing, I'll bet that your wiring connections are located there.
Check out the possibility that the bottom of the can comes off. All of that rust may make the cover seem to be welded on.

Yeah, my guess is that the bottom comes off somehow.I can see fasteners or weld marks on both sides about 3" up from the bottom. Can you tell if these are fasteners that come out, or just welds/rivets?

Yes, that was it. You can see in pic 3 there's a slot where you can stick a screwdriver in and pries the bottom out. Thanks all.
