I’m installing a bunch of rough sawed cedar siding on my pole barn. The siding is 5 1/2 inch wide. What exposure should I use? I am nailing on to 3/8 osb over 2×4 studding on 24 inch centers set between the poles. I am assuming that I should use SS nails. I don’t plan to paint.
Are there any advantages to Tivek wrap under the siding. The building has a exposed metal (and fiberglass for skylights) roof. The interior will not be finished off. It has a pair of 6w x 10h rolling doors so we are not talking about tight air seal. I just want to keep my new shop dry enough to keep my tools from rusting.
Many thanks for your help.
