I don't think his little chopper could airlift a mobile home.
That was a good thought. But...I saw the same ad that Art did. (See them all the time.)Passed right on by the ad.While I may have use for it, I do not have a flat area large enough for it. I couldn't get it up the hill TO a flat spot, even if I had one. And... It would be illegal to have on the property here, without a permit. I would neither be able to afford the permit/permit process... Nor qualify for it anyway. You have to go through the permit process for a septic, and well, and pay for someone else to put those in for you... Before they would even consider the permit for the mobile home. So, it would cost me in the neighborhood of 25 to 30 thousand before the county would even consider starting the permit project. All for someone's old, probably broken down, mobile home.If I am going to go to all that trouble and expense, I'll get the septic and well, and then build a cabin. Same cost, in the end....You are always welcome at Quittintime
Yep, there's always a catch. Mobile homes are no longer allowed in my county (unless they have been grandfathered in, or located in mobile home parks).
Note that it DOESN'T say that there are tires on the wheels.
My guess is it an older home, with moldy dry rotted flat tires.
Only flat on one side.

Never the top side.
Wondering the same, but it ain't free.
And it's on the other side of the planet.

Need one (well, want one, maybe don't really need it) but closer to home might be easier.

What they don't tell you is that you've got to get it out of the ground.

your long-suffering wife would persevere if you brought that hulk home - at least you aren't collecting stray cats (are you?) -
but why would you want it?
it would be easier to built a roof that size than get that carcase mobile and drag it home -
if you are really bored, get it and turn around and sell it and then charge to move it for the buyer....
I gave mine away, just did not want to deal with it
You can rent it out for $500 per month.
depends... it is a womans perogetive to change her mind.
Sooo... what would change her mind?

"Sooo... what would change her mind?"If he brought it home, filled it with all the stuff he has 'stored'... and hauled it off somewhere else.;o)...You are always welcome at Quittintime
think i might have posted i here...
the story of the guy out west who moved his MH with his tractor... made it up a very steep grade... just chugged along... his friends told him that old ford N8 or N9 (think) would never pull it up the long grade...
no one even thought about of considered what would happen on the 3 mile downside of the grade... but it was reported as a wide ride with smoking breaks... wildeyed... soiled shorts ride...
btw... MH that i wouldn't take for free if they delivered em... rent for $150 a week around here... and the people think they are lucky to get em
