Mr T
Do not try this at home!
I am an Experienced Professional!
You're confused. That's the cost of a Subaru, T.
For right on accuracy look it up on a psychometric chart, off the top of head sp.h is .24.. BTU/#, approx 13.7... cu ft/# at STP , so BTU approx (1/14)*.24 = .02 BTUs or so.
Your starting temperature is the biggest factor due to density change, sp. heat changes with relative humidity also, etc.
I was checking out that stuff and got confused. :) Thanks.
btw, what's the diff be/t psychometric and psychrometric? I saw both used more than would be indicated by a typo.
Sorry about that, my typro <G>
You want the word with the 'r' in it, which is the moist air/enthalpy/density/weight charts.
Without the 'r' is the domain of shrinks measuring the effects of their treatments, etc. , although I've seen udders mizpel it two.

Good guess but not generally understood as you propose.
Psychometrics refer mostly to the tests used to measure people's minds in general (in the schools, workplace, etc.) of which your example would be but a very small part, since shrinks don't generally use formal tests to see how their patients are doing.
The other use of the word, changing the spelling, is new to me.
Thank you for such good explanation.
Jim, Like Junkhound, I get about 0.02 BTU.
Thanks David and Art. If you two end up there, then I think I'd bet on that as my final anwer. Thanks from the guy who asked me.
