How to attach stair stringers with no rim joist?
I’m replacing my front porch and can’t figure out how to attach my stair stringers/risers. I’ve got a concrete footing around the perimeter and 3 rows of cinder blocks (filled with concrete) as the foundation of the deck. It’s has a 2×6 board on the front that rests on the concrete and screws into the 4×4 posts and the stringers for the decking. I’m trying to figure out how to attach the stairs since I’m unable to add another joist under that 2×6. The concrete is uneven and bumpy, as well.
I’ve thought about attaching a 2×12 to the face of that 2×6 and letting it hang down, but that will extend my decking in the front, and I’d also have to figure a way to grind down the face of those concrete cinder blocks. Any other ideas? Is there essentially a riser bracket that could attach to the 2×6, but hang down low enough for the riser to attach to?
Any help would be appreciated.
FYI, this was an existing porch that was here when I bought the house. I’m just replacing all of the wood because of rot.

Attaching a 2x12 is what i would do. You can grind down the cinderblocks/ plane the back side of the 2x12 or add some ~1/2" shims prior to attaching the 2x12.
Simpson does make some stringer strapping which works great but you probably dont want to see them.
Your photo shows a 2 X 6" rim joist on the front of the porch. You can add another riser so the top step is flush with the deck and attach to that rim joist.
