ok, so im starting my house and barn construction in mass. i will be working and contracting the entire project. i am going to have 2-3 full time carpenters starting soon all of which do not have any type of insurance.
all other subbed work, insulation, electric, etc.. all have there own insurance and workmans comp (legit companies)
my question is what is the minimum insurance, workmans comp, licences etc. i should have to cover myself if somthing should happen.
lots of building experience but new to being the boss!
thanks in advance to any ideas.

Course of const. insurance
You need to talk to your homeowner's insurance agent. Ask about course of construction insurance. The agent can tell you whether workers are covered. You need to insure the house anyway while it is being built, for fire etc. If your course of construction policy doesn't cover workers. You need to talk to someone familiar with the requirements of your state.
+1
roger, going to my agent right now.
thanks simon
