Hi;
I’m a window installer and have a job that will entail cutting a sill that is made of corian. I have a fein multimaster and would assume that they may have a blade that’ll do the trick. Has anyone used this? Any other suggestions?
Thx. Don

Damm, I miss that stuff
At the Corian Seminar they state that Corian is not warranteed for cutting with a jigsaw.
A jigsaw will cut it but will also leave tiny fractures in the Corian which will grow due to temp variations and will also discolor.

Believe it or not, but Corian can be worked with standard carbide woodworking tools.
Several years ago, we were thinking of using Corian for our new kitchen countertops and the salesman gave me a piece. It took me a couple of weeks to work up the nerve, but one day I ran it thru my table saw and was astounded at how smoothly it worked. Then, I used my router to make a simple roundover that came out as smooth as glass.
it's just fancy plastic ...
cut it with what ever is handy.
don't let all their advertising scare ya.

Thanks for the tips..I think I'll use my multimaster with carbide blade..it'll be slow but it also should leave no chips.
