How to fix a floating island to a tile floor
I am trying to add a kitchen island by bolting together 3 big box base kitchen cabinets. I can’t figure out how to fix it to the floor so it doesn’t slide around.Any suggestions?

Did Exactly this a Decade ago. Connected two Drawer Base Cabinets ,covered the back with a piece of 1/4 Oak Plywood and added a 1 x 10 piece of Oak , hinged to the Cabinets and supported with a pair of pcs. of 1 x 2 's that slide in and out of the cabinets. Topped the thing with a piece of Marble using a few dabs of silicone.
I don't think this thing has moved at all in 10 years, my best guess is that the tile has crushed some of the cabinet frame. Full of Pots and pans and all manner of kitchen utensils I bet it weighs at least 500 lbs.
If the cabinets have a kick plate (in other words, if the bottom is elevated from the floor), fasten a couple cut 2 by whatever you have handy to the floor so the cabinets fit just outside them. A couple of these should secure the island where you want it.
Thanks. Got the info I needed.
