How to install 80 inch EMCO storm door in 81 in opening?

My contractor installed an 80 inch EMCO storm door in an 81 inch opening. The door’s info says that it can fit both 80 and 81 in, but the contractor didn’t make any adjustments for 81. So now the frame isn’t sitting on the sill.
Does anyone know how installation is supposed to be adapted for an 81” opening? Nothing in the Installation materials, and can’t find answer online.
Larsen has storm door frame extenders, so I would think Andersen/EMCO would as well. Especially since they advertise this door for 81”. Can anyone advise? Is there anything to be done besides getting a different door?

Here's how you can do it:
- Measure the opening
- Trim the side rails
- Test the fit
- Install the door
- Adjust the door
- Install the door handle and latch
What series (number) door did you buy?
