looking for advice! We are in the middle of building a custom shower for our new bathroom. Do to some unforeseen structural issues we had to make it a bit smaller than anticipated, and we are trying to figure out if we should add a small bench for shaving and extra storage. It would be approximately 32” x 6” which is small for a bench but could still work. We also aren’t sure how to secure it, it would be a piece of quartz and the tile guy says he can just set it in tile but that seems like it wouldn’t be very durable if someone if putting a leg up to shave (or my kids jumping on it ..)
I’d like it to be fairly hidden so the bench looks like it floats from wall to wall. Should I use some kind of bracket like this?

We realized years ago that nobody really wanted shower benches, the ladies just wanted a place to prop their feet so they could shave their legs. At that point, we put in small corner shelves we made from whatever marble or granite we used for the curb sill. Everyone loved them and we haven't installed a bench since.
