How to repair minor scratches in polished limestone tile?

I need some help! I have a polished limestone tile floor (12″ x 12″ tiles). On a couple of the tiles, an abrasive scrubby pad was used to remove some residual grout (by yours truly). Not deep scratches, and not a large area (maybe 3″ x 3″ on adjacent tiles), but you can see the scratches. Am I out of luck (do I have to live with my stupidity), or is there a way to polish these back up? As always, every bit of advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you. DIA

I haven't tried this on
I haven't tried this on "polished limestone tile floor " but I'd try white polishing compound from the auto parts store. It only costs a coupla three bucks and is one of the more gentler polishs. I've used on stuff like counter tops, bath tubs, etc.
you can try using some grout. mix it just as you would normally & just rub the areas were the scratches are. Has mild abrasives in it so it should polish out the scratch. The tile may have been sealed since Limestone is porous & it may have to be resealed
