Good reading.......thanks.....
How's the heat down there? and I'm not refering to Barb!
Starting to heat up here Mark - temperature. Barb's almost always been laid back, except when I get the carpet wet (changing aquarium water), or otherwise "disturb" her fanatically neat and clean home. Notice I said "her." Guess a lot of guys are like me - could live in a garage, but it takes a woman to turn a structure into a "home."
I wonder if you noticed the one paragraph in that article that also applies to the "team attitude" in these forums what with the questions/problems that are posted. From the article, and thinking of the word "organizaton" as this forum:
"We all instinctively try to simplify the data that we receive, but there are better and worse simplifications. Better simplifications arise from a deeper knowledge of the environment along with a deeper understanding of the organization and its capabilities. That knowledge and understanding develops when people attend to more things, entertain a greater variety of interpretations, differentiate their ideas, argue, listen to one another, work to reconcile differences, and commit to revisiting and updating whatever profound simplicities they settle on as guidelines for action."
We really are an "organization" and as such, ours is a HRO.
Yup.......
Different point of view and the exchange of ideas rather than compliance is our strength!
Thanks for showing me the link!
