I want to replace the louvers in my entry hall with solid panels. My return air handler is there. Can I do this without compromising my AC?

Is there another dedicated path for air return?
If not, you could add a dedicated return, leave the door as it is, or install a grate in the new door to allow for air flow.
(or open the door when you want the air to work)
