I am in process of laying out duct locations on a remodel for a forced air hydronic heating system. I would appreciate any info on the best locations for supply/return ducts in rooms for maximum effectiveness?

From what I have seen in newer construction. Supply vents are placed in floors (easiest to work if basement unfinished) beneath windows. Two reasons, these are the more drafty areas and usually furniture is not placed here. The return is placed high up on the wall opposite (or far away) the supply. Suggest one return vent per room so that doors may be closed at night (without trimming doors). This appears to be the standard practice in the Mid-Atlantic states.
