have a home onwer that wants a buch of wood work refinished
baseboards around oak floors that have become scuffed up over time, about 900 feet of it
she and her sister painted the inside of the house, the floors still look good
this is not what I normally do
but it is a nice project that will lead to other things in the future, and nice people
its not that its all rough and ugly, minimal spot sanding will take care of it, but Im thinking
what would be better, coming in with an hvlp of doing it by brush. and if by brush, are the brush strokes gonna show
right now the house is nearly empty of people or furniture
but I dont want any drift onto the walls etc, I can mask and stuff but……….
they want a semi gloss
anyway
your thoughts ?????????????????? what should I use both in materilas and application ??????????????????????

HVLP produces less overspray, but you will still have to mask everything. Only the high-end equipment will shoot latex worth a darn.
buy a really good brush, get some Floetrol for latex, & dream on about minimal sanding...my 2cents worth....
He's got it right, Floetrol, makes latex go on real nice. I love the stuff here in the heat, keeps the paint from drying out in the bucket or drying too fast as your applying it. Are you doing this in place or going to pop them off and work on a rack to save the knees? OW!!!!
