I know this subject has been beaten to death but I was wondering if anybody has tried the Cambell Hausfeld 2- Stage Turbine sprayer model hV250 or is there something better.

I've got nothing to offer but you might try posting this on Knots as well. A lot of those guys use HVLP's

Can't say much about that brand or model but i do have a "Graco" 4900 two stage that i use for all of my finishing in my cabinet shop biz. I swear by the HVLP system and the two stage can push through any material you put into it even some pretty heavy waterborne paints ( thinned to about 10% ). I like the portability of the whole system and the minimal overspray. One thing to keep in mind, these sprayers are not meant for continuous use so if your gigs will take longer than 20-30 mins. to spray, i'de look into an alternative system or plan to take half hour breaks between spray sessions. I also wouldn't plan on using this system for x-tra large areas as in walls. This system requires a slower and smoother stroke than say... an airless sprayer and the area you first started at will likely have skinned over before you get to your overlap stroke. The single stage was a good learning tool but i could have skipped that step and expense if i had gotten to a two stage system right from the start. Cleaning out the gun becomes a chore if it's not done within 3-4 hours between sessions but if you make it a regular habit to clean it out well, this system will give you a great finish every time.
Good luck with that.
