good luck.....Reminds my of the threads I was reading in JLC about trailers. The biggest thing they spoke about was never to put writing on them letting the world know you were in construction and they were loaded with tools.

That was one reason I did want a trailer...for the advertising. Ya gott be extra extra extra careful is all I spose.

BUMMER!! My heart goes out to the guy big time. Makes me sick even thinking about it.

I have to agree simply because a guy with that many employees and tool collection of that size would have insurance.

we had a guy break into the contractor trailer and stole all the tools, found them at a pawn shop. we had the seral numbers and recepts, police would not do anything. could not be bothers. Heard through the grape vine was, the pawn shop was a local business and contractor was from out of town, so just file on insurance.

      Scam?

Could be the guy looking for the reward would be the scammer too. This guy wants info on the location of his trailer and tools.

I don't see him asking for handouts.

I have insurance.  I had a concrete saw stolen and offered a reward for its location.  I did not want to file it on insurance.

Maybe the guy is trying to keep his rates down or would rather simply have his stuff back then anything.

Not saying its not a scam, but it's a very weird way to start one.

I can think of much better ways to sucker people out of tools and money.

    Toolpig-

Just a thought to add that you usually get more mileage from an important post where in addition to the link the subject matter is copied out as some folk will just skim over clicking a link.

    Thanks for posting that.

    Carry on.
