A simple sofa table, wormy chestnut.
If the drawer had no knob and closed, you’d never see it.
Finish is Cat lac.

Beautiful!
Pocket screws or tenons?
Duane,
Very nice indeed. I hoard wormy chestnut.
I made some bedside tables using rift sawn red oak. Shellac finish.

I wish more folks wanted stuff like this, I could afford dog food then.

Nice, but I'm jealous. I haven't had time to make much furniture recently (or turn, either).
I especially like the way the grain flows with the drawer.
You ever work with butternut? IMO, that's another underappreciated wood.
Nice wood. Like the overhang on top
Good Job
Very nice........
Sphere Tells me he got the boot and doesn't know why.
His picture of the Makita lady with lots of chest showing me thinks !
I'd think it was his comment telling Luka to shutup in one of the threads on the big ads....
Very well could have been - I didn't see that one .
I haven't been back to the thread to see, but I would imagine that it was deleted. Can't figure out how to explain it without getting booted myself. Will email you.

I have a very good friend who trimmed the interior of his house with chestnut. Looks outstanding.
what for a cutting method leaves the drawer front so tight. I'm assuming it was cut from where it is now, seeing how well the grain matched.
Sphere can't answer ya but I know he saws the apron apart and glues it back together after cross cutting out the drawer front.
He's crafty that way.
thanks, I'll have to store that one away
I have a friend who uses a Japanese saw to do cuts like that. He cut a door into wainscoting that is just about invisible. Might be tough with a drawer front but I'd be fun to try.
Nice piece Shpere, even if you can't read the post!
Now, that's what I'm talking about! A fine piece of craftsmanship here. I still remember the last project you shared with me (but, let's not go there). What else ya got?
Robyn
For some unexplained reason, Sphere cannot post. Maybe you can look into that and rectify it?
Oh brother, what did my friend post this time?I'll check. Thanks.
He has no idea, being as he asked J.P. and emailed cust. serv. and never got a reply.
It was at the time of the new "Big Lowes" ad inception.
Thanks Robyn, I owe ya one.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks
