NOT!!!
Ug. I did all my figures before reading the fine print. calculated in the $25 rebate for fertilizer and applied it for 5000 sqft lawns when it actually only applies when I get 15000 sqft bags, but it’s only $10 for the 5000 sqft bags. now I have to re think all of my calculations and it won’t be a $25 discount for the costomer, only like $8.33. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I hate scotts.
on the better side, I have a good chance of being able to get a contractor’s discount at my local lumber store Hingham Lumber.
hmmmm, your post perplexs me

Never pass the savings on to the customer. Are they going to pay you for your time to claim the rebate?
I admire your determination to run a business at such a young age. Just don't burn yourself out before you hit 20! You've got potential.
Persistence is necessary for Excellence. And Persistence is a Decision.
the rebate is yours..not the customers
Ah, the joys of being in business. You're not doing anything the rest of us already haven't been thru. LOL
I thought you were going to be working for a lumber yard sometime soon. What's going on with that?
when I'm 16. only one year and a week to go

At least you're 14. Try starting a business at 32 (with three kids) and making those same inevitible errors.
As long as you learn from your mistakes you'll do fine.
A man worked for a company for many years... everyday he saw things he'd do differently if he owned the company... found himself saying way too many times... "If i was the boss" i'd do this... or that... or whatever...
the day finally came... he rented a small space, had a sign painted with his company name and hung it out for the world to see...
as he sat in his new space... he was quite content... he'd no longer answer to anyone, he'd do things his way... and his way only... yes life was good and he was on top of the world... his world... that he ruled... and thats the way it was
until
he got his first customer...
he had found his new boss... and his new boss was much like his old boss

Oh, yes. I'm looking forward to my next opportunity to simply hold down a job. These days, I'm thinking a lot about buying the vineyard. It's not enough to make anyone rich, but you only need to deal with the customer once a year. Not a bad life, all in all.
ok, now I love owning one again.
I get a contractor discount and the manager is going to tell me when they mark down the price on trimmers (my old one broke).

consider rebates as free money to go buy tools with, don't discount them to the customer for 2 reasons, one your doing the rebate,2 if you forget to send it in or if you do and don't get it back ,you lost money.
4 reabtes at 25 and i see a new vacum in your future :]
if a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?

Not all tuition is paid to schools.
The school of hard knocks doesn't advertise it's tuition rates.

Andy,
It has occurred to me that we may both live in the same town, or at least frequent the same lumberyard. Maybe we can meet for coffee sometime, talk shop.

Andy might be a bit young for coffee yet, you got a place that sells kool-aid ;)
I'm in Coho (Cohasset) where are you. I'd love to meet sometime. :)
