Look at an office supply place.
If you want a good one - check a machinist tools catalog or store and search for dividers.

Available in reasonably inexpensive drafting sets from art/office supply outlets.
Bonus is the tips are replaceable and can be either pencil lead or a point.

Ebay search for "dividers" will find a bunch.
I've had a pair of those with a pencil taped to it for 25 years, other than occasional pencil changes it works well.
If you need one of those shoot me an email, I think I have a spare.
