I need an example of a large insurance estimate for flood damage.
I am going to look at Ponytl’s cabin friday and I am trying to find as detailed an estimate sheet that will cover mold removal sheetrock replace floors etc.
When I write his up I want to make my estimate conform to their expectations.

PS I will be back late this evening any help or advise will be deeply appreciated.
WHY DO I HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT BEING A SOLE PROPRIETOR IS A REAL JOB?

most all insurance and restoration companies use Xactimate for uniformity.
They have a demo you can try for 30 days:

Andy,
I don't have any estimates for water damage ( a FLOOD is defined as RISING WATER, this was not a flood ) but I do have a 20 page Adjuster Summary for a major fire loss - nothing left but the brick veneer walls and most of the trusses. It's a $100,000 loss. By the time we got through with the contents and living expenses, the total claim was over $184,000.
I'm happy to share this with you, but it really won't fax well, it's pretty faint. Email me from my profile, and I'll be glad to mail it to you - it'll be a good reference, you won't believe the detail.
