Couple pics of a new house being built on the other end of the village. Not my job.
I swear I never set foot on the property to take these. They were shot from the sidewalk across the road. The public sidewalk.
This one shows a great way to balance costs. Got a barrel-roof bumpout, a springline arch casement above it, and you say you already spent enough on the barrel roof and its trim? Save money by putting in a plain square pic window below the arch.
Here’s another one, looking a little ways to the right. The valley where portico roof joins main would throw a bunch of runoff where you don’t want it. Solution? Cricket the roof. Problem solved!

Ohhhhh.that hurts.
I just came away from a job w/ 200' of copper K gutter, and I swear there are 20 or 30 miters on these stupid azz returns on a slew of gables.
This archy is known by us, so we kinda had a plan ahead of time..his style is visable from the road. But I think he hates us guys that hang Copper.
It never fails, the undergrounds are mis-set ( not plumb from the soffit / gutter drop, or just wrong on the corner)..the GC says..he, I just build it to the plans...WE have to show where to dump the roof..arrgggh.
