concrete c/t seems to be all the rage these days--I wouldn't mind one myself. I haven't done one before, but it seems that before I let my subscription to FHB lapse there was an article on it every other issue. check out 1998-1999 back issues--may be in there. Also, check out Buddy Rhodes on the web for inspiration. The guy, I believe, makes all sorts of cool furniture and accents out of light-weight concrete....
*When I want to do something myself, I first start with research. Have you tried using this? We've had a few threads lately, here's one of the more recent.Have fun.
*I suggest you make a sample or trial run in your garage before you tackle the real thing in your kitchen. Maybe about 18" or 24" square. Won't cost much, and the learning experience may save you lots of time, money, mess, etc when you do start the kitchen.
