I was wrong about the RocklerPro catalog.
I was about to place an order last nite, got to the end and read they were clsoed for shipping over the holiday. Thot that I’d cancel the order and pick up what I needed local … because … they’re stated “price advantage” for it being “pro” had to be BS.
Went back online tonight … checked out the same items on their regular site …
and the savings are real.
I was wrong.
I reordered the hardware I needed to stock up on. Not sure about the rest of the catalog … but as far as fasteners go … their “pro” savings are for real.
should have a coupla hundred pounds of screws landing on my front porch by next week. Had top post this … as I already sent an email to their head guy tp complain. Had to go public and admit I assumed wrong about their “special pricing”.

I'm definitely a believer in getting fasteners online. Local prices around here on that stuff are a joke. I haven't used Rockler but I have used Manasquan and they are very solid. I generally order a quantity that will fit in a flat-rate USPS box, about $8 shipping regardless of weight.
Feels good to get it out - huh Jeff.
I didn't see anything else on this. From what I gather from your post here - Rockler has "Pro Pricing" that is an actual savings. That right?
I will have to look into that. Wonder if it also holds true in the stores - 4 stores in the area here.
Thanks for the post,
Shoe

Something Cathy will never hear you say.
How do you get signed up for that?

I thought the Pro label/savings was a myth. I'll have to check it out, thanks.

I have both catalogs and at least on the tools I have checked the price on the "Pro" one was cheaper by a reasonable margin.
Wish I could order like that.
'round here, if you mail order from USA, they hit you with duties, GST, Provincial Sales Tax and shipping.
Cheaper to go to my local outlet.

Not sure how I got "signed up".
another catalog came in the mail last coupla weeks ...
said Rockler ... with a big banner down the side "Professional Pricing" ...
they have their own website ... http://www.rocklerpro.com
I had to provide a business mailing addy ... which was easy 'cause my office is in my home ... and a tax ID number. At first I left the tax ID numnber blank and it wouldn't go thru. I'm sure anyone with the right info could sign up/buy online.
