Anyone have experience with Insul-Deck ( http://www.insul-deck.org/product.htm )? Someone is pressing for its use on a commercial job I have under design and I haven’t used it, so I’m checking here, there, and everywhere.

Here's a site with a discussion forum in case you haven't tripped over it yet. http://www.icfweb.com/
Which region are you in? Massachusetts construction is so tradition bound that it's difficult to find anyone willing to use new materials and techniques.
we have used it in a few different jobs. i think it is a great product. If I can figure ouy how to attach pics I will.

I am using Insuldeck on a project I hope to start in the spring. Like any suspended concrete deck, the design will have to be stamped by a structural or civil engineer. Make sure you find someone who knows concrete rather than a civil that only sees concrete in foundations and slabs. Also make sure you have a quality source of concrete that is not too far from the jobsite. I will be mixing on site.
I used something similar called Lite Deck to do a garage floor with heated space underneath. Lite Deck referred me to an engineer who could do the job and provide signed and sealed prints. Check out Lite Deck at their website.
Advice: use a stiff mix and vibrate really well when placing crete.
Cloud,
Do you have any $/ft² information?

Jon, that was a year and a half ago, and I talked to the co, but have since forgotten their numbers. I _think_ it was somewhere in the $2.50-$4.50 range, but they were covering different depths and discounts, etc.
Here's a job I've been involved with recently that using it as we speak. Don't know their cost.
