   Some time ago, Fine Homebuilding advised that the best way to obtain good pricing for foam insulation is to shop a wide area for foam contractors.  The question is: does anyone know of a source (beyond the yellow pages and Google) to identify foam contractors serving the  Rhode Island region?

   Energy Star HERS Raters will know and have an opinion. You can also ask Demelec or Icenene national for recommendations and you can contact your state HBA for recommendations.

   Anchor Insulation in East Providence is a quality outfit. They spray a few different brands of foam so they would be pretty knowledgeable about the benefits of the different formulations. They have a commercial/industrial division and marine division and a residential division. They might not look at the job if it was too small.

   If you can't find them, let me know because a good friend of mine is one of the owners.
