I took a break today and went up in my gyrocopter. It was 12 degrees outside..but I was warm as toast. I flew over the water sogged fields for an hour and a half.

Looks like a lot of the area around here. People are saying the creeks are running as high as they did back in the floods of 1993.
That was like a monsoon blowing through here... hmm.. what was it, Wednesday night about 10? Then Thurs night everything started to freeze up.
Opened the door on the shed tonight. I'd gotten some water in the shed, and the push mower was frozen to the concrete. Had to kick the wheels free. Then discovered the table saw was frozen to the crete. Kicked it free. Gotta get the kerosene heater back in there (been using it in the house for the last couple days just to give the furnace a break).

Sounds a lot like it was here. A couple people we know found their garage doors frozen down. Lots of guys late for work due to car doors frozen shut, etc.
I'll do anything for money, except work.
Great shots! Just a question tho off subject. Do you have to let go of the wheel, stick?, to take these shots? Just wondering. Sometimes I feel a little phobic looking at your shots.
Stan,
You probably have posted before, but could you post a pic of your copter.
I just have an idea of what I think it is.

Zendo: Sure...here is a picture of it. It has a 130 horse Subaru...I built the gyrocopter last winter.
Jag: I can let go of the cyclic. I have inboard roll and pitch trim that allows hands/ feet free flight. Occasionally I have to touch the cyclic. Most of the time I fly with my hand lightly on it and take pictures with my other hand.
Need parts, Stan?

Noticed this auction in my bi-monthly perusal of eBay aircraft.
