Just out meandering around enjoying the observation platform I get to fly. I noticed a local farmer building his own bridge across a creek. Thats his own crane that he uses to build his grain legs on his farm. He is something else. He has the neatest farm from the ground and the air that I have ever seen. I will make it “mission” to post some pictures of it.
In that picture of the bridge being built…you can make out my little 16 acre woods at the very top of the picture…sitting by itself in a square shape.

Nice pics....
but not much to bump into out there, eh.
ps - I am only saying this out of envy. And although it makes me a little agoraphobic, I feel that a person can breathe out there.
All the best...
To those who know - this may be obvious. To those who don't - I hope I've helped.

The small, red crane on the right is his? Not the big daddy on the left...??
Looks like his pond is scummed over, won't catch me fishing there.. but I suppose it might be a holding pond for something.
You certainly get a unique view of everything. Just imagine how far some of those stands of trees USED to stretch. Someone had brought me a big aerial photo to scan a portion of it. While looking at vast stretches of open fields, I could see from clusters of trees here and there that a large swath across the middle had originally been trees and had slowly (over 200 years or so) been cleared and turned into fields. All that was left were clusters of trees here and there. Those trees take a long while to replace.
