I flew for over an hour late today until dark and could only find two combines out. We had another bumper crop this year…with high prices to boot. The farmers are having it good. About all thats left to harvest is the “air” over their farms. Thats my job to turn it into “downwash” from my rotorblades. This is too much fun sometimes. <G>

That's a seriously big pile of corn there Stan!

That is just one little pile in one little midwest town. Multiply that by allll the other little midwest towns and you're looking at some serious corn!
I was glad to see corn prices have gone up a bit in the last couple months. Seemed like corn and soybeans prices were the only thing that never moved much as the years went by...whereas the cost to produce those crops is always rising.jt8

Wheew! Wish I had an E85 car!
Do you have a larger version of the pic looking down on the harvesting combine?

Stan, thought I heard you fly overhead, I'm in Towanda..., but nope. Just the neighbors mowing the yard! Love the pics! Thanks.
How are temperatures? Any sign of waterfowl moving yet?
Joe: Temps are in the fifties today...but I fly with a very nicely heated cabin....even if its 10 degrees outside.
The geese are "thinking" about going south.

We had an average to below average year in this area, due to lack of rain.
But you're right - Corn prices are definitely good. Soybeans could be better, though.
