It is one big mud hole here in Illinois. I was out cruising low in the rain the other day.

I don't see how you can get anything done with that thing(gyro) calling
your name
You must walk around in circles all day
Let's see circles on the ground(stairs) and circles in the sky
It makes a guy dizzy just thinkin about it
Be dizzy and keep postin

What a change, last time you posted you had a nice new snow, now you got mud.
Thats not supposed to come until spring.

Stan--
How far downstate is this? Your gyro looks like a whole lot of fun. I think that I'd be just a little distracted having this machine around :)
JMO: I am 100 miles south of Chicago.

Paxton, Gibson City? i see the straight dug drainage ditches and at 100 miles that would be Iroquois, Ford, or Livingston Co'sNever serious, but always right.

We were down over the weekend, ate breakfast this morning at the restaurant just west of the Interstate. Have a close friend that lives about 3 miles North of you, on 1000. We were visiting, several months ago when the storm that took down all your trees went through. You got hit hard, what a shame.Never serious, but always right.
Russ: I eat at that restaurant a lot.....Country Gardens....
Yep....lots of trees lost....but no human limbs...
I am thankful
Stan
Our waitress is usually Lisa, she'll remember us, there were 4, because I usually get turkey and dressing for breakfast.Never serious, but always right.
Russ: Here is an aerial shot of the restaurant. I am flying osouth going to the I-57 Rt. 9 interchange. The restaurant is just to the right of the cloverleaf.

Stan, don't think that pic is close enough for them to use it as advertising. ;)
I take it you two are recommending this as a good place to eat?
My co-horts and I have bought our boss an Xmas present that will take him about 30 down the road from you, Monticello. But he won't get to use it until Spring. Two words: choo, choo.
Never have understood the fascination. Flying has always seemed 100 percent better.jt8
Its just a family run restaurant...real good food...and lots of it.
Ain't no mud here now - It's all frozen as hard as concrete. If I understood correctly, that restaurant you were talking about is called "Country Gardens". And it's on the west side of I-57 at route 9 ??? We may check it out this weekend when we're up that way. We're still heading north Sunday morning and coming back Monday, if your plans have changed.

Boss: Yes..its at exit 261.....just west of the interchange.
If it was here, the weather service would be saying, "yeah, but we're still under a drought advisory."

Better watch out, Stan. Thought I heard Andy talking about putting a staircase in. One of those, "while you're here..." kinda deals. ;)
