Stopped at a couple projects in one of our Historic Districts early this morning on the way to my job .
Thought some folks would get a kick out of others ways of work .
Nothing to do with me , but I do slate work on the first house with round porch .

Walter,
I am glad you are posting in the Photo section again. I missed your theard last week about the cedar roof. Found it yesterday.
That is what I would call creative framing (this thread). I do not understand the 2x8? run flat.
Thank you for posting. All of your threads are interesting and informative. You are one of a select few that keep me coming back to BT.
Chuck Slive, work, build, ...better with wood
Chuck ,
I don't know the why's of their framing , but they are covering it with 1 1/ 16 " fir decking . I'll take some finished pictures in a few weeks when they are done .
I'll post a chimney flashing cure tomorrow nite .
Best regards , Walter
Steve ,
It sure could be one !!
I learned my lesson on that thread -- keep the homespun stagings out of the headlines .
Workload keeps getting larger with all the rain causing more problems and less time to work .
Heading back out to Vinalhaven on the 20th to complete some work out there .
When do we get the Cubans ???
Best , Walter
Walter,We're going to have to start calling you the Monsoon Millionaire or something!Still in waiting mode here. No Cubans lighted yet. Hoping she doesn't make an appearance until Sunday at this point, as there are several exciting stages of the Tour de France coming up. Gotta have priorities, right? LOL I promise to keep everyone posted.Best,
