Thanks for reading this post.
I live in east central Indiana and I’m looking for a High end builder to work for.
I’ve been a manager and a business owner and a college professor. Most people can be taught anything. But personality, teamwork and commitment to the company are values an owner looks for. I’m very blessed to say that my life experiences have led me to various destinations and educations. Though I value a good education, hard work and life experience are more valuable.
The transformation process that wood goes through in a building phase is quite amazing. It is a work of art. A work of art that should be enjoyed for many years to come not only from the buyer but also from the artist/carpentery.
If any of you have leads, I would greatly appreciate it that you send them my way.
Thanks
Geppetto (Steve)

and it's nice to know I'm not alone in thinking that construction is an art

Sorry...< s.w. indiana.....but, i was never one to keep my two cents worth.
i'll first disagree with you on one point by saying most people think they already know the answer they just want you to agree with them.
Indy has it's share of high end structures (personally i don't like indy.) Look up some builders and check out what they're building. solicite the ones building those gi-gongus houses. i think you'll find companies are always willing to talk to someone looking for work. particularly those who are dedicated to high end work.
traveling will get you the best pay. i mean fly-outs as in fly to florida or california or where-ever. recently i've encountered a few contacts wanting people to go to places like above and vancouver, nantucket, chicago.
Try the architects and design houses rather than builders. these guys are the ones that design all the bizarre stuff and can never find anybody willing or capable of building what they design. they are the ones that recommend personnel to their clients. kiss their butts and tell them how creative their designs are and leave your card. it won't get you a job tomorrow, but, you can smack nails while networking with "those who can't.....design."
