Was talking to the Panasonic Rep at the Woodworkers show last weekend – mostly giving him a little hell about the arbor size on the cordless wood saws. Anyway, he told me that Panisonic will be coming out with a complete line of 18 volt tools this fall. Can’t remember what all he mentioned (drill, recip, circular, come to mind – don’t know about planers, and jigsaws)
Anyone with more info, I’d like to hear it. Was thinking about going Bosch for their full line but might have to wait and see what the Panis are like – Sure like my 12 volt Panasonics.

I am waiting for the price to come down on the Panasonis multidriver.
15.6v. impact drill driver.
My default will be needeing new batteries soon. I have not been to impressed with it and since I have 4 batteries I'd be shelling out 200$ anyhoo.
Cordless saws and sawzalls are just to expensive for a limited use tool.
they have a looong way to go before they can replace a corded tool.
Just another way to get us to use up batteries faster.

I've kinda had my eye on that multidriver as well.
Don't know that I would need an 18 volt drill - especially in a Panasonic - the 15.6 seems like plenty.
Still am curious what a Panasonic recip or jig saw might be like. Not that I would run out and buy one, but always curious.
i've had a multi drill for about a year now and its great.
it will sink a 6" coach screw with no problems.
i use it all day every day with no problems.
the batteries last ages!!!
i can't reccommendi it enough.

I got an 18v Bosch "Brute" for 200 willies at a Woodworker's Supply promotion. I threw in a broken DeWalt and they threw in a cordless saw. I was always way to cheap to buy one.
So, today I have to go trim the legs off a folding attic stair in a detached garage about 200 yards from power. It was raining Siameses and Schnauzers. Do you think I'm glad I didn't have to run a cord?!? You're right, I'm extra static. It's a crappy little saw, but every time I have to use it, I love it just a little bit more...if I could only see the blade... EliphIno!
Got me that panasonic multi driver 100$ off !!!!!!
But now I got to send back the bat rees cuz they dun recalled 'em.
I love it sunk a 3-1/2" deck screw into a cutoff from an oak newel post
didn't even flinch!
Bought some impact sockets for it.
Love the quick change hex chuck.
It should be against the law to make a drill bit without a hex shank on it!!Mr T
