Go to HeatingHelp.com and buy Dan Holohan's books.
They are the BEST hydronics books for the layman and very entertaining reading.
Three in particular;
"How Come ?"
"Pumping Away"
"Hydronic Radiant Heating"
Also, "Quick and Basic Hydronic Controls" by Carol Fey, also available at the site.
For the first-timer with zero experience in hydronics, it takes a while to digest what's going on.
But it is well worth the effort in the end.
