my plan is to frame the opening in the foundation with 1×4 pt stock (the opening is only 6′ high). use a pre hung luan door cut to fit within the height restriction, add weather stripping to the jams, use foam insulation to fill all voids. will this significantly reduce cold air infiltration intothe cellar?
