Install hot water heat lines in concrete
I am going to heat a sunroom built on a slab. I have to install heat pipes in the existing slab. I am going to channel the slab & install the piping in the slab.I am considering pex. Is pex a good choice to bury in concrete, or is there a better way.
I will appreciate any suggestions. Thanks BOB

I don't know how you're going to "channel" a slab, but even if you can, there is another problem... the existing slab probably has no insulation under it which means you'll be pumping heat into the ground for the life of the house. Big waste of energy. Have you considered jackhammering the slab, removing it, and insulate under a new one?

PEX is fine for use in concrete. However, I'd also love to hear how you plan to channel the 'crete, and insulate under it.
You may want to look into Warmbaord or Quik Trak to install over the slab -- if you can get by with a bit higher floor, you can even add some insulation under it.

Everything fits, until you put glue on it.
