Installing brickmold on concrete block
I’m installing a Pella double hung vinyl window into a concrete block opening in the foundation. The old window suffered a rotted threshold after 60 years, and was installed without wood bucks. I need to place brickmold around the window onto the concrete block. What and how would you suggest to fasten the brickmold? I thought of drilling pilot holes and pounding cut nails into the holes. Is there a better way?

I was trying to avoid the rather large hole to fill on the brickmold. But it may be the better way. Thanks for the response.
I'd also use PVC brickmold.
Yes, PVC all the way. Thanks.
I'd be tempted to stick it on with white polyurethane caulking. If you can hold it in place for a day, it would likely stay in place for decades. Perhaps there's an area where you could use a few small nails into the window frame or flange.
