around here in new construction everyone I’ve seen build headers does it the same way–2x’10s with 1/2 in plywood or osb sandwiched between. seems to me this will create a large thermal bridge. Would it be OK to use 1/2 in RFBI instead of ply/osb? How about some other combination of the two? TIA
