I need to know the best way to insulate a second story cathedral ceiling.  I would like to have at least R-39 insulation because I am in the north. The rafters are 2″x 8″. There is a ridge vent at the peak an sofet vents already installed. Do I install air chutes from the sofet to the ridge, fiberglass bats then foam sheets?
