insulation for old wood frame homes
I’m in the process of moving a house built in 1891 in Texas. Obviously we had to remove all the plaster and lath wall covering. Part of the restoration will be new insulation. I’ve been warned that too much insulation can make the house “sweat.” I’m interested in sprayed-on polyurethane foam. Any advice on what’s the best type of insulation for a wood-frame house of this age?

First let me know which part of Texas you live in. I have done the same with a house in New Orleans but the advice I give would vary depending on where you live.
