I have a customer that wants me to lay R19(6″) fiberglass insulation directly over the ceiling grid, for soundproofing purposes. Does anyone know if there is a problem with the insulation laying over the flourescent light fixtures? They would like there to be no break in the insulation, but I wonder if there’s a heat build-up issue.
