Anybody know of a decent, builder-oriented insurance agent in CT? I’m getting tired of calling mine up, asking the question, and being told they’ll have to find out the answer and call back. We called the one that advertises in JLC, but although they seemed knowledgeable, they only write in Massachusetts.
Competence. That’s all I expect. Why am I always disappointed?

Andy, I wonder if you contact the main office of the underwriter, can you find other AGENTs in or near your town so you could keep the coverage and bypass the officc drones who don't seem to know....

I believe you answered the question before you asked it.

Another day, another tool.
Call three other contractors in your area and ask them who they use.
That's the ticket. In fact, I've considered starting a kind of mini-builder's association, just some local guys I know getting together occasionally for beer and burgers and info swapping.

I've checked out the local builder's association. Seemed cliqueish, meets too far away, and so on. Too much organization. I know enough other contractors to poll, though.
Hey -- What does namaste mean?

Andy E,
There is no word for it in English to my knowledge, (kinda' like the symbol for the artist formerly known as Prince. LOL) But my understanding is that it's meaning is akin to that of a handshake in Western cultures.
Andy C., Please correct me if I'm wrong, as you should know, since it was Your tag line for .........ever.

No exact English translation, but it is a greeting:
"May the inner light in me meet and greet the inner light in you (and vice versa)."
but mostly used like Aloha: peace, love, respect, hello, goodby, etc.Pete Duffy, Handyman
It's Tibetan for "Bite me."
Hmm, I think that's kind of like when my sister in law was planning a trip to Costa Rica, and I told her that "Donde esta las putas?" meant "Where are the bathrooms?"
